There are so many different sizes in the world. You have to know your measurement. At first measure your bust then compare to the size chart then you will know your exact size. If encase you don’t find the dress of your size then make sure you buy a bigger dress rather than a smaller one. You can always make it smaller.

Embroidery:
The dress
which has lot of embroidery in waist area and have embroidery on hem, it will
cost you fortune to alter! Because, it might have done after dress was made. So
when they do the job it will all stuck in with lining and outside materials that
makes alteration hard and almost impossible. Sometimes the price of alteration
becomes more than the price of dress.
Under
arm:
Dress with bigger under arm cannot be fixed properly. If you make it smaller then it will be hard to raise your arm, if you have sleeve, then it will start to get too tight on your bust area.
Sequence:
The dress with sequence is much easier to alter than embroidery. But still bit harder than the normal dress.

Too many cuts in the waist area are quite hard to alter. Just to get the stripe done you have to undo the whole under bust and waist area.

No cut: Dress which is not cut in the

Pant crotch is the part like armhole. If it is too big then it is not quite fixable. We can alter it a bit but it will become too tight to open your leg. The only thing you can do is, fixing it by adding another fabric. Hence do not buy too baggy pant if you don’t like baggy stuff. One size bigger could be fixed but not more than one size.
